Business Process Outsourcing Companies

The business process outsourcing industry is by far the most booming and happening phenomenon in the globe. Business process outsourcing industry is one of the most direct resultant of what we call as globalization. But, to begin with, we need to know what business process outsourcing actually is.

To put it in plain words, business process outsourcing or BPO refers to the practice of contracting specific tasks of the business to some third party provider of service. Such tasks can be anything from payroll to customer care. The business process outsourcing company outsource its jobs to such third party in order to save cost for the tasks that are only too necessary for the company to perform. But, at the same time, only such jobs are outsourced which have no relation to the maintenance of the business process outsourcing company's position or status in the marketplace.

The business process outsourcing services are broadly divided into two categories, namely, the back office outsourcing and the front office outsourcing. The business process outsourcing management can be done either way. The back office outsourcing includes jobs such as purchasing, billing, and other related business functions that are totally internal affairs of the company. Services such as customer care, providing technical support, etc. comes under the category of front office outsourcing.

The total business process outsourcing management can be further divided into offshore outsourcing and on shore outsourcing. When the company has BPO within the territory of its won country, it is known as on shore outsourcing. Else, the term off shore outsourcing is deployed. When the company has its contract with some company that is situated in a neighboring country, it is often called as near shore outsourcing as well.

Of the BPO companies and their job type, the commonest examples are perhaps that of payroll and accounting, human resources, and call centers. These are the most widely spread of the business process outsourcing services.

As said earlier, the idea of the BPO companies primarily owes its reasons to serve as a cost saving measure. Generally jobs are outsourced to countries that are less developed in terms of economy. The logic behind this is the cost per employee becomes much less as the less developed economies will have a pay structure that is less in terms of monetary value in comparison the better developed economies. Hence, the general trend has been to outsource jobs and services to countries that are less developed economies than the country in which the outsourcing company is situated. However this is no steadfast rule. For instance, there are Indian BPO companies in the U.K. such as the Wipro, Infosys, TCS, HCL technologies, and so on.

In the field of BPO companies, India holds the highest amount of revenue in the entire world. WNS global services, Wipro BPO, etc form the biggest BPO companies in the world. The BPO companies are still a booming industry in India. With the passage of time, as the impact of globalization is increasingly being felt in the economic state of the entire world, the BPO industry is gaining more and more momentum.
